Sarah enjoys activities like running, hiking, climbing as well as cooking, baking, reading and quality time with family.
Sarah describes her journey....
In the summer of 2008 I actually had an internship with Gateway Teams. I had the opportunity to work alongside Randy and Shelly Schmor, Gateway Teams’ directors, and witness how God is using them to train and lead short-term teams with excellence while fostering long-term relationships with the missionaries and/or national hosts.
So, it is with great excitement that I have been appointed by the North American Baptist Conference as a continued-term missionary working with the short-term mission agency Gateway Teams.
In this position, with the encouragement of the Schmors and my husband, Rob, I will be training leaders and teams, leading cross-cultural mission trips, and maintaining the long-term relationships with hosts around the world. Short-term missions must be done within the larger picture of the long-term work that God is already doing in the global church. For almost ten years Gateway Teams has been doing this very work, emphasizing partnerships between the sending side and those hosting teams.
I am honored that God has called me to be a part of His work in short-term missions through Gateway Teams’ ministry and sharing the life-altering story of the Lord Jesus Christ around the globe.
Part of this calling is also raising the sufficient funds to carry out the work God has set before me. Knowing that the Lord is able to provide for all my needs, I ask you to join in His ministry for me as well:
• Pray that God’s mission will be increased through Gateway Teams, and that Christians around the world will be encouraged.
• Consider whether God is leading you to assist me financially through pledge support as I seek to participate in the ongoing ministry He has laid before Gateway Teams.
